The Alberta Securities Commission announced today that it has retained Glenn Robinson, P.Eng. as part of the team that will work on the development and implementation of the proposed new oil and gas disclosure requirements.

As ASC’s Senior Petroleum Evaluation Engineer, Mr. Robinson will be working with legal staff to finalize draft National Instrument 55-101 Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities over the next several months. Once implemented, he will be working with analysts on continuous disclosure reviews of the reserves filings.

“We are extremely pleased to have Mr. Robinson join us,” said ASC Chair Stephen Sibold. “His expertise in petroleum engineering and extensive industry experience will be a valuable asset to us as we prepare for the new oil & gas disclosure standards.”

Mr. Robinson has over 35 years experience in reserves evaluation. He was a Reservoir Engineer with Sproule Associates Limited, working in property evaluation, mathematical reservoir simulation, petrophysical engineering, and served as President of Sproule Associates from 1992 until his retirement from the firm in 2000. Since that time, Mr. Robinson has continued to offer advanced analysis of petroleum reserves on a consulting basis.
